Tell us a bit about what you do.
My main job is in the controlling department, but I entered the privacy field at the same time GDPR was enforced. Besides my main job, I was also assigned a new role as an internal DPO, which came with many interesting but challenging issues to deal with.
Why did you choose to work with Carbide? What was the problem you were looking to solve?
I was searching for models of privacy/security policies, and Carbide was the only platform that allowed me to check various useful drafts of such policies in a freemium version. I decided to upgrade when I discovered a new functionality in Carbide, the awareness module. This awareness module has been very helpful in my DPO role, as I need to keep my colleagues informed about everyday cyber risks.
It has been two years now since I started using Carbide, mainly for this module. I can say that it has been a decisive instrument in improving the quality of my colleagues’ awareness training. I have noticed positive changes and increased awareness in their behavior. There are a lot of topics covered in this module, providing enough subjects of interest for me to pick from on a weekly basis. The progress can be documented through reports that track completion progress, which helps a lot in proving accountability in GDPR compliance and allows me to adjust the awareness training program as needed.

Our organization has greatly benefited from working with the Carbide platform and their team. I mainly use the awareness module, and sometimes I look at various security policies from different security frameworks to see best practices on various issues.

I see Carbide as a great tool for creating a security program from scratch and tracking its progression. It can be an excellent tool for collaborating with a small team.
