Enterprise prospects and customers are adding more security questionnaire steps to their procurement process. Their questions ask about your access controls, data handling, incident response program, and certifications. The information they are asking for is already in your compliance platform. Turning that information into answers for the completed questionnaire is the tedious part.
Customer Assurance is now available in the Risk Management section of Carbide. It handles security questionnaire responses, contract reviews, and commitment extraction.
Security questionnaire response
Upload a security questionnaire from a customer or prospect. Carbide automatically reviews the document and answers each question from your existing compliance data, assigning a confidence level of high, medium, or low to each response.
High-confidence responses can be approved in bulk. For medium and low-confidence responses, review and edit each individually before approval. When the answers are ready, export a comma-separated values (CSV) file to return to the sender.
The review pulls from what is already in your account: the controls, policies, and evidence you have built as part of your compliance program. No information needs to be entered separately for each questionnaire.
Contract review
Upload a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), Master Service Agreement (MSA), or service agreement. Carbide automatically reviews the document, identifies each clause that needs attention, assigns a risk level, and proposes replacement language.
Flagged clauses appear with a status of “Needs review.” Accept or reject each one individually. When the review is complete, Carbide will generate a revised document with the accepted changes incorporated, ready to send back.
Commitment extraction and control mapping
Contracts create obligations. Customer Assurance automatically extracts the commitments in an uploaded agreement and maps each one against your existing controls, marking the relationship as covered, partial, or uncovered.
Any gap (a commitment the contract creates that your current program does not cover) can be converted into an organizational control in a custom domain from that view. The control is created with an owner assigned and the source document linked. Controls created from extracted commitments map to your frameworks and accept evidence the same way any other organizational control does.
A commitment you make in a customer contract becomes a trackable, evidence-backed item in your compliance program without leaving the Customer Assurance view.
Customer and prospect records
Customer Assurance includes a records view as well. Create a record for each customer or prospect and attach their documents directly. Multiple documents can be uploaded concurrently. Every questionnaire response, redline, and extraction adds to the activity history for that record, so the full review trail stays in one place.
Track record stage, assigned owner, and notes alongside the attached documents.
